I wanted the older slant cooler because after 10 years the lining in mine cracked and it started to leak. But I learned that it’s now obsolete. The dealer showed me this new huge cooler which fills the saddlebag more than I would like. I made the dealer swear they’d take it back if it leaked. I’m not into ice packs or leaving the ice in a bag. That can of beer (non-alcoholic, of course) must come straight out of the icy water. So on the way home I bought a 10-pound bag of ice and dumped the cubes straight into the cooler. First, I closed the cooler and the ice kept for over two days. Then I opened the cooler and let the ice melt. After 4 days not a drop. I’ve used it on the road several times now and still not a drop. I’m optimistic and so far I’m satisfied even if it is too damned big.

Just got done with a trip to South Dakota & Wyoming. We had travel days in the 80's and 90's. The saddlebag cooler passed all of my tests. The attached tag claimed that it was water tight and it was. I tried cold packs as well as bagged ice. Actually I perfered using a 5 lb. bag of ice as it filled into the shape of the bag more efficiently. Granted, after 5 hours I had water in the bag but thats what ice does but I also had cold drinks. Totally satisfied with this product.

Received this last summer as a gift. I've used it several times on long rides in the Texas heat, and it keeps the beverages nice and cold. I usually use ice packs vs cubes, but the times I did use cubes, the ice kept for a long time and I had no issue with leaks.

Told by salesperson great bag keeps things cold. First day out it leaked so badly it filled up my saddlebag. Dealer refused money back, claimed i should not have used ice, as seems were not sealed. Really? Very disappointed in product and lack of support from dealer.
