After trying all possible positions with the mounting bracket, I did not find a enjoyable, comfortable setting. The furthest back setting made the backrest pad too high, also less room for my wife, and the closest one lowered the pad but it pushes you to far into the gas tank. Just couldn't find a sweet spot.
Like an earlier review, the screw adjustment only adjusts the lean angle of the pad.
Not for me, maybe one day if I get back pain but for now I'll do with out it.

In addition to the Hammock seat I can go 10 hours plus before "back fatigue" sets in. I like the pressure that it applies to the armor in the rear of my jacket to give me firm support on the entire back. I was putting on a belt after about 150 miles but leaning into this pad gives me about the same effect. I like it.

Just got it. No complaints. Can be adjusted forward or back slightly with the screw on back of seat. Screw is under skirt of the seat.

2007 FLHTCU with stock seat. This backrest pushes you onto the tank. I'm 6'2" and it forces you to sit straight up and pushes you forward. When using the highway pegs it's tolerable. While you can "adjust" it slightly, only the top tips back so that's pointless. For 250 bucks (with mounting kit sold separately of course) I couldn't possibly recommend this to anyone. I took it off and never put it back on. It's going on e-bay. Don't waste your money.
