Love the tinted 21" windshield for my 2016 Fatboy, but...
Harley needs to offer a greater selection of windshield heights. Bought an 18" at the dealer where I bought my bike after being "fitted" for it but it was too short. Ordered a 21" unit and that is a bit too big. I'll need to cut it down one inch to make it perfect.

Got road rash on the old shield, so needed an easy fix. As a woman, felt the installation was very easy, as a two person job makes it easier. Took about half hour. Old tape was easy to remove with a straight edge. New tape didn't stick to shield very well till old hardware was secured. Nice tint.
Cost is what you expect from an HD product line. Only major complaint is local dealership didn't call upon arrival from online order.

Tinted 21" Windshield
I'm not exactly thrilled with this windshield for two reasons:
1) Its not quite the right height for me. Even though I measured my bike and line of sight as recommended I find myself looking through the very top edge of the windshield which distorts objects in view... not good. Also, at this height it still does not deflect the wind sufficient enough to prevent the dreaded head vibrations, which was the main reason I went with a taller windshield. I sure do wish I had purchased the 23", and since I installed it HD will not take it back. Not happy.
2) The tinting looks GREAT when just looking at the bike on its side-stand, but looking through it reduces visibility and in my rainy climate that's just not a good thing either. I would much prefer the clear version.

New Windshield Install on Softail Classic
Old windshield needed replacing, so bought only the plastic, and reused old hardware. Use wire wheel on grinder to remove old sticky tape on back side of hardware and cleaned with gasoline to remove glue, worked perfectly and did not scratch hardware since glue base protected it from wire brush. Fit and ease of install was excellent. Remember tighten hardware from inside of windshield to the edge.
