Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENT for riding I love this jacket. It exactly what I have been looking for. Its good for riding in cool and warm weather, especially on the interstate. Plus the added armor that comes with it. October 31, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light weight, cool and still protected from inflammationous graveolous aka road rash If you want the reassurance of some quality protection "just I case" this jacket has the kevlar inserts where it counts ultimately protecting where it counts. In the HOT summer days was wearing at shirt and or my vest. When you remove the liner from this jacket the mesh is like wearing an air conditional (as long as your moving) if you are stopped, in heavy traffic, or behind a huge wind shield or faring it is NOT AS cooling but still does what it is advertised to do while ultimately protecting your hide. When the rain comes you quickly throw the inner liner on and boom!! you are pretty water resistant, The other day I tested it to its fullest, with HD rain pants on and this Jacket (opting to leave HD rain coat home to do said test) I was surprisingly dry when I got home, however the water does get in from the collar. I found most of my clothes dry though some water dripped in and down my chest. All in all this is great light weight, Cooling, and when the time comes water resistant jacket I would recommend it. Answer:
Switchback styles are great for weather that varies from morning to night. Depending on how warm your talking, this jacket is great for warm weather. If it's super hot, you may want to consider adding a Hydration Vest to keep you even cooler.

Answer:
This jacket is better for warm weather riding, when it starts off a bit cooler in the morning then gets really hot in the afternoon. For cold weather riding you want to look for a midweight to heavyweight leather jacket with a liner, preferably quilted.

I've posted a couple of my favs below.

The lining on this Switchback jacket is black. When it comes to skulls, you gotta keep dark!
