Installation is strait forward. Leak check reveal a gusher. Oil was blowing by the small narrow plate on the end of the manifold held on by two hex screws. Took the manifold back to the dealership to see if they could help out, as I've always had good support from the dealer. The service department was very helpful and I appreciate that. The tech disassembled the manifold, applied a sealant to the gasket and narrow plate. He also applied a thread lock to the two hex head screws and reassembled the manifold. Tech told me to give it 24 hours to cure. I'll give it the time, then reinstall the manifold to see if that'll cure the leak. It does seem that at approximately $350 buy in price, you wouldn't have this problem. I would still recommend an oil cooler for these new hot blooded, EFI air cooled engines. Good luck.

Installation was easy. Started engine and oil was leaking excessively from front plate on oil filter adapter which is which is held by two button head screws. Removed plate and applied rtv and re-torqued screws, still leaked. Another review had the same problem. I've never had a problem with HD accessories, but stay away from this oil cooler, total junk! Will not buy another one.

I installed this oil cooler.installation went well however when I started the engine to check for leaks there certainly was an oil leak,it was pouring out of the little access plate that is fastened with two allen button head screws on the front of the adapter housing.screws were very tight from the factory but I was able to tighten slightly more, still leaked. (not very happy at this point) ended up removing the plate and using a small amount of high temp sealant and retorqued screws, still leaked, had to tighten screws as much as I dared for fear of stripping or snapping screws in the housing, still was seeping out slightly, gave screws one more slight tweak and this seems to have stopped the leak.at $330 I should not of had to repair a new item.if you are not mechanically inclined do not take the chance of buying or installing your self. item does have a 1yr warrenty but after installing you really don't want to remove and ship back and wait for another in this case I was able to repair otherwise I would have sent it back and would be and am very unhappy with this experience

Install was pretty simple, seems to work fine. I expected the install to take much longer but it only took me about 30 min and that was taking my time so I didn't screw it up.
