Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great addition to my bike Ambient air temp gauge was usually incorrect, oil temp is a lot more important to me. Average guy, average tools, no issues installing, just wait until you want to change your oil. March 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by More useful than air temp Gauge matches the look and finish of the original equipment gauges. The ambient air temp gauge was useless and usually wrong, I'm glad to be rid of it. This should have been included as standard equipment. Had this installed during the first oil change at the dealer. July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Addition I received this as a Christmas gift and decided to install it myself. All in all for me it was not a difficult install, you may have to move some wiring to get into it, but not too tough. Since the ambient air temp gauge is of not much use, this one actually serves a purpose. If you're apprehensive then have the dealer do it, but I had the oil changed and gauge in plus some cleaning done in under 2 hours. January 2, 2014

RE: Oil Temperature Gauge

The rubber plug on the side of the oil temperature gauge popped off and the liquid inside the gauge leaked out. This happened at some point AFTER the bike cooled from a 20 min ride on the highway There was no smoke or leak while I was riding, however after a few hours when I returned to the bike I noticed the plug and fluid on the ground. What is the liquid in gauge so that I can refill it?

Answer:
That liquid is silicone, and is used to prevent the gauge needle from vibration. You could use baby oil as a substitute.

Answer:
It looks like the Fairing Mount Oil Temp Gauge, P/N 709000283, doesn’t have any fluid in it but the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit, P/N 75133-99, does. Just wanted to clarify. The fluid can’t be refilled, but if you purchased it less than a year ago it may be covered under warranty. Your dealer can help you file a warranty claim if it qualifies.
