The LCD (not to be confused with the higher quality LED) screen is dim and hard to read in any kind of sunlight. After 2 years, the display got worn out and was barely visible, even at night. Batteries are also annoying to replace. Accuracy was not great, especially since temperature reading only tells you "Hot" or "Cold". Save your money and buy the analog temperature sensor from HD and know exactly how hot you're running. The analog model is also much more reliable and easier to maintain.

Received mine yesterday after getting tired of constantly pushing my stock dipstick back down after my leg presses down on it and causes it to pop up. Figured this would kill multiple birds with one stone; love the idea of knowing when I've warmed it up enough to ride, being able to check level and temp at the push of a button, and no longer have the issue of the stock one popping up and pushing on the bottom of my leg while riding. HOWEVER, as soon as I pulled this out of the package I noticed the display was hazy and looked scratched, thought maybe it was a returned item? Maybe there is plastic on it to keep it from being damaged in transit? Nope! Neither! I guess HD decided they did want to throw a small piece of plastic on the display to keep it from being damaged so now when you pull it out of the package it looks like its been on a bike for 6 months of heavy use. Already sent mine back for refund and will try one more time but I have a feeling they are all shipped like this and that's a shame so hopefully I am wrong and the next $150 dipstick will come out of the package in perfect shape like it should! Where's your quality control Harley??

I put this on my Blacked out Iron. Looks good. Quality seems a little cheaper than stock.
