Engine guard and required mounting hardware
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Turns Heads Easy to install, functional and because it's not a typical D ring style everyone stops and takes a second look. Every time I stop other riders will ask about it. Many are surprised to hear it's an HD part, and not aftermarket. If you want to stand out from the crowd this is the part. March 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Attachment The picture from the front view is nice, however; the attachment method that Harley has settled on is "Sad". For a little more money they could have professionally connected it to the frame. Instead they came up with a Cheesy method of using 2 U-shaped brackets (not seen in the photo representation) These brackets are zinc plated and not chrome, and the 4 threaded/bolts protrude foward. This looks like a Cheap aftermarket / Homemade engine guard, NOT something I would expect from Harley. Very Disappointed. February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great look and the convenience of highway pegs Just had to dress up the exposed threads from the U bolts with acorn nuts and it looks great! January 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks great and quick install The Mustache Engine Guard is exactly what my wife was looking for. I had it installed within 20 minutes of opening the box. It fit perfectly on my wife's 2012 Switchback. She loves it...which is the most important review I need. December 31, 2014

I'm 5'8" and considering these,, I'm going to go to the Harley dealer and see if they have a set on hand that they could hold up to a floor model so I can tell whether it will be a good fit or not..

If you can rest your right ankle (achillies tendon) on the brake pedal and your left ankle on the gear shift pedal then you will be able to reach.

U- bolts used to mount this?

Instructions are not available for this kit. Does it use u-bolts for bottom mounts like the other regular engine guard?

Answer:
Hi MyBigBike,

Everything that you will need for the Mustache Engine Guard will come with it. If you were referring to the fitment copy online, it states that if you had an evap canister, you would need a relocation kit. But if you don't have one then you won't need to worry about this!

Hope this helps!
