Modular Helmet with Shield
Exceptional touring helmet
I really like the whole modular design, especially the built-in, retractable sun visor. This helmet provides very suitable noise reduction when cruising down the interstate and also offers cooling vents which are functional, albeit not perfect - then again, what venting system in helmets is perfect. There is ample room around the ears for Bluetooth or other earbuds, and coupled with the voice reduction, you can actually enjoy your tunes while riding. Chin strap is functional / easy to operate, as is the latch located at the chin to lift the face cover. This helmet doesn't really accommodate me with respect to wearing sunglasses, but this is probably due to the fact that I've got chubby cheeks. ;) Nevertheless, the helmet is built very well and I have no doubt it would protect my melon if it had to,

Good mid-priced helmet; Fitment may be a problem for long a oval head
I bought this as an upgrade from my original H-D System II helmet. It is a bit tight on my long oval head so I had to buy one size larger than recommended. This helmet has recesses to help with fitment of helmet speakers, but they may not be deep enough for some; I installed Boom Audio speakers but found they pressed too hard on my ears when wearing glasses; enlarging the speaker pockets made the fit bearable, but at the expense of degrading the helmet protection and probably voiding the warranty. The ventilation is adequate, but not as good as on the FXRG model. The helmet face shield (HJC HJ-17) is prone to fogging when closed, as my bike's faring and windshield reduce the available air flow. The helmet visor is pin-lock system compatible; I recommend the upgrade for improved anti-fogging. The sun visor is a great feature, but is a bit close to the face and interferes with some styles of glasses. The chin bar is also very close to the face, so make sure you have enough clearance if planning to install a boom microphone. Overall, I've worn this helmet for a couple of years, including some multi-day rides and found it adequate for the price. If you take long trips and don't care about installing speakers, I would consider the lighter FXRG model, which in my opinion is a better fit for a long oval head..

Great style, easy to pop up the chin piece, and easy to deploy the sun visor and push button retract are a great feature (especially with gloves on), no more swapping out shields. I would caution, I ordered this online, I am normally a 7.5 head size, which on the size chart says I should still wear a Large. I went with an XL and wouldn't want it any smaller (if anything I think the next size up would have been slightly better).

Real Comfortable Full Face Modular Helmet
Been riding a good number of years and never wore a full face helmet - they were too claustrophobic and too hot. This one is different. It's real comfortable - doesn't mash my face/mouth. It pressed on sides of my jaw a some when new. I wore it a few hours a night watching TV and it molded nicely to my face then fit perfectly. I like the fighter pilot type slide down sun shield under the main clear shield. I can wear plain prescription glasses with this helmet and drop the sun shield so my eyes won't melt from the Texas sun - pop it back up when the sun goes down. The outer shield resists scratching. With a very high level of UV protection, I can ride all day without greasy sunscreen and no sun burn.
The whole front pops up easily so you won't fry when stopping. Removable lining for easy washing is killer in this hot climate. Also a good helmet for cold weather riding. One of the shield screws fell out - lack of screw tightening maintenance on my part! My local Harley dealer replaced it at no charge. If you wear a helmet, get one of these too. It fits perfect, looks good and quality is excellent because it's genuine Harley Davidson gear.
