FXRG Midweight Leather Jacket
Better than expected
Nothing midweight about this jacket, a serious piece of riding gear for serious riders.

This jacket appears to be a top notch heavy duty jacket and for most parts it is. The weak spot is the zippers, they are cheap low quality. When the front one broke, it made the entire jacket useless. I have had problems with it for several years and when it finally broke, I was told "maybe" something might be done. For a $650+ jacket you would think everything was of high quality. It isn't. Before you buy, do a search on zipper problems with this jacket..

FXRG MID-WEIGHT LEATHER JACKET
This jacket is meant for cold weather climates and was purchased in the fall of 2010. The previous reviewer meant it when he said it is not a mid-weight jacket. The jacket weighs 9.4 lbs. & feels more like 40 lbs. when putting it on. For $650.00+ I guess you get what you pay for being a Harley leather jacket. I wish the jacket wasn't so plain. The jacket needs some Harley emblems but sewing on patches on Harley's best would go through the leather & liner as well. I'm not willing to do that. The sleeve closure zippers don't stay zipped & once you get leather gloves on it's nearly impossible to work the closure zippers due to the flap needs tucking in with the free hand. The jacket is really warm. No cold air entering in or around the jacket is going to be an issue. Today they have lighter weight leather jackets & optional heated sleeve or sleeveless inner vests / jackets that would do as nicely.

BEST JACKET HD OFFERS
I have a number of HD leather jackets. I purchased an original FXRG jacket 3 years ago and was amazed at how well it keeps me warm and dry. I have worn the jacket everyday during the Mid-Atlantic winter months and when riding, it has kept me very comfortable with air temperatures as low as 25 degrees. I've added the FXRG pants and the hybrid heated gloves and have ridden for hours without being uncomfortable. Only negative commet would be that it is not a "midweight". This jacket is the heaviest jacket I own, but worth every pound. The new FXRG with most the pockets on the outside is just a plus.
