Rated 3 out of 5 by A different view if this product I read the reviews of this product and I have to say I agree, it is noisy. I thought I might add though that it's not any noisier than the factory primary tensioner that always keeps the primary chain was too tight. I have an '09 Ultra and from day one the loud whining of the primary chain and the constantly clanking shifts annoyed the heck out of me. This product completely fixes that situation making the shifts butter smooth now. I am disappointed that it added a distinct clattering and growling to the primary though. I can live with it, it was cheap ($150) and my Ultra is now a joy to ride. Maybe someday Harley will revise/re-engineer this part so it's quieter, who knows. For now I'll say it's better than the way it came from the factory. April 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ridiculous noise More crap from Harley. I spend $150 to get rid of my way too tight primary chain and looks like I'm gonna throw it in the trash. March 18, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by VERY NOISY!!!!!! Product is very noisy. I had to remove it. Would not recommend it at all. Harley says there is no problem with it but if you check internet including theres everyone says its noisy and they won't do anything about it. April 25, 2014

Answer:
Hi IMOutanames,

As long as you are using a stock style primary chain, you should be able to use this Manual Primary Chain Tension Adjuster.

Thank you for your question.

Answer:
Hey carl. Your warranty can't necessarily be voided. Some changes made to your bike, like performance stuff, can affect your coverage if something goes wrong.

It's always good to chat with your dealer if you have questions about your warranty. Even if it's just for peace of mind.
