Great addition if you plan to do much night riding. This is something that should be a "standard" feature on the touring bikes.......are you listening Harley Davidson???? Excellent fit and functions great.

Had to buy these to complete the CB install - but only one of several parts needed. They look nice and I like the light function at night. I also had them install the chrome housing while they had everything apart. Looks great.

My subject line sums it up. I like having these controls lit but my only reason for giving this product 4 stars is due to price. I understand that this product is complex but because I'm basically throwing away an expensive part to get the lighting on my new bike, well I guess I wish Harley could provide this as a dealer installed option on new bikes at a lower cost.
As for installation the process is easy and fun for experienced owners. The controls are fragile and the handle bar positing takes a little care and planning if this is your first time. Tips I use are to cover your tank and lower fairings with a towel or 2 in case the clutch or brake levers touch your paint or chrome by accident. Try marking the handlebars with tape and a pencil mark in order to re-install these parts in the same position as you started with. Finally, the most frustrating step is removing the selector button on top of the control. This part snaps on and must be snapped off carefully. Instructions recommend carefully using a small screw driver and I don't have any tips than just keep trying and be careful...
I attached 3 pics to help you judge for yourself the value and appearance to you. Hope this all helps you decide.

As the owner of a new FLHTK, riding after dark was a little tough because I didn't have the "feel" of where the buttons are located. In the winter months, when it's dark early, this can be a real challenge. The lighted controls are fantastic! Easy to see in the dark. I installed them myself without any difficulty. Took about an hour for both. I think they ought to be standard equipment on touring bikes.
