Rated 5 out of 5 by Scootertramp59 Very Nice Leather Bag!
After waiting several years, I finally said to hell with it, and bought this leather touring bag. Although it is a little pricey, I found it on sale, and I must say it was worth the money. This is a very well made bag, and it looks great on my Heritage Classic. As some have mentioned it is larger than I expected, but in a good way... I mounted it to the Harley 5-bar sport touring rack, and it fits well, at least to my satisfaction. My mounting suggestion is to tighten the front and rear straps first, then wrap the side straps once around the outside bar of your luggage rack, and then buckle them , this gives you a nice secure fit. I also put two large cable ties around the front/rear leather bag straps, and the inner 3 luggage rack bars (These are hidden from view underneath the luggage rack). I have logged several hundred miles since I installed the bag, and it has remained secure, Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

I installed this on my Heritage Softail Classic and what a difference it makes in the appearance of the bike. It matches the saddle bags and just makes the bike standout. No sooner then I put it on I had a compliment on how great it looked. Well worth the money!

Installed on a '14 Heritage with the largest sissy bar rack available from HD for my bike.
1st... major disappointment. Someone should really take some time to redesign the mounting system for this bag. After purchasing this bag I realized I did not have the proper rack. The tour pack rack may work, not sure. The racks listed that will work are no longer available from HD and probably haven't been for years. So the mounting straps on the bag will not snug up tight enough to hold the bag securely. The bag is expensive so Plan B.
I purchased small stainless steel u-bolts at the hardware store. Holes were drilled through the plastic base of the bag. The bag is not waterproof so the holes won't matter. The u-bolts were inserted from under the rack and into the bottom of the bag. Stainless plates that came with the bolts were used and the nuts were replaced with stainless nylock nuts. I also trimmed the bolts down so they barely protrude into the bag. The mounting straps were tightened as much as possible and all loose tails secured with black zip ties. The result is a very secure and clean installation. The downside is the bag is not easily removed. The upside is the bag will not disappear if I'm away from the bike for a little while.
2nd... the bag itself is awesome. It is larger than i thought it would be and has a double zip enclosure under the outer belted top flap. The leather is heavy and the studs match the Heritage. As mentioned, there is a plastic base in the bag as well as stiffeners to maintain the shape of the bag. I'm very happy with the bag, just not pleased that I had to make a Heritage Bag work on a Heritage Bike.
