Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by These grips are well worth the price I have them on my 2014 Ultra Limited these are the first heated grip that I have every had and I love them. Very nice on cool mornings are if you get caught in a storm on a cool day. Just don't forget that you have them. August 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great grips, instructions suck! Same as the first review I would have given these 5 stars if the instructions had been updated for the Rushmore models. In the end it was a simple install on my 2015 Road Glide Special. Take off the ignition switch and the dash panel. Feed the lh grip leads through the handlebars and plug into the power source and crossover plug for the throttle by wire which sit under the dash panel. The rest of the install is fairly obvious. Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice, toasty grips ...but astonishingly awful instructions. Unusual for HD, whose instructions are usually at least satisfactory if not excellent. Most, if not all, of the pics and steps were from the pre-Rushmore models (at least for the FLTRs). The gouge I got from the dealer was, happily, wrong in that they said the wires would be external to the handlebars. They weren't. As I understand it, these are the stock ones used on the CVO models and are plug and play through the handlebars and maybe the others are not. Don't know, maybe a mfr rep can address that here. The installation became apparent as I disassembled my way into the project and quickly disabused myself of the external wiring red herring. I wasn't really happy with the "piggyback" bayonet hookups to 12V power (esp with all the unused 12V plugs laying around) and will address that later with some solder and shrink-wrap Nevertheless, the grips are themselves 5-star quality and warm the hands quite generously. The missing fifth star in this review is for the atrocious instructions. December 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Minimalist design and works great. These take the edge off on a cool day. Work and look good on my blacked out road glide. Only complaint is a paid for the next day shipping and received the order 5 days later. That was a waste of money. March 28, 2015

Answer:
Hi crashcalia,

Yes, you can install heated grips as long as you did not convert it to internally wired handlebars or as long as it is not the CVO Road Glide.
Pay close attention to the fitment guide under the FITMENT tab. For instance, this one says:

Fits ’08-later Touring and Trike models (except CVO™). ’08-’09 models require separate purchase of jumper harness P/N 70415-08A, connector P/N 72902-01BK and terminal pin P/N 72990-01 (qty 2). See instruction sheet for details. Not for use with internally wired handlebars.

There are a few heated grips out there that does not require you to buy all the additional connectors. Easiest way to look for heated grips is to look at the catalog on page 580. If you do not have the catalog, here is a link to view it online:

http://viewer.zmags.com/publication...

Again, please make sure to read the fitment on the page to determine which part number you need. If you have any questions don't hesitate to email or call us for help. Our number is 800-258-2464 option 3.

Hope this helps!

Answer:
Hi HarleyFirefighter,

Yes! You will still feel the heat and you'll love it. As some of the reviewers said, you'll never look back once you experience having something like these heated grips.

Thank you

What is the inner diameter?

Is this a standard bar fitment? Is it a plug and play set of grips and that is why it only fits an 08 or newer? Thank you...

Answer:
Hello Singlefatherof4,

The inner diameter of the Black Rubber Heated Hand Grips is: 1.0. However, the overall diameter is: 1.25. This is only available for '08 and later because of the internal wiring that may have been applied to '07 and earlier or the sizing of the handle bars. H-D has several handlebar sizes depending on the grip.

Hope this helps!
