Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money Bought a 2016 Road Glide Special...Had been a Ulta rider for years. The ride of the Road Glide Special did not suit me but, I liked the look of the bike. Tried the Sundowner seat with the addition of air shocks to smooth out the ride. The ride was better, then I tried the Hammock seat...what a difference this seat made! Probably should have tried out the Hammock seat before I spent $300.00 changing over to air shocks from the coil-over hand adjustable preload shocks that came on the bike that I did not like...too rough of a ride with no preload and I weigh 230 lbs. The spring action of the Hammock seat does a great job of smoothing out the ride and is very comfortable. The passager seat section is just as good! I highly recommend this seat! Ride safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awsome seat if you are like me you do a lot of internet research before a big buy like this. I love this seat. the stock seat was already pretty good but this is in its own league. I take annual rides to other states and this seat gets me there with minimal but hurt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a hammock Very little difference from a stock seat on my 2015 Ultra. Still looking for a seat. It wont be a Harley seat though. 550.00 wasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This seat is fantastic After a 250 mile demo, this seat had to be purchased. My wife loved it and had no complaints. We have the sundowner, but she still was not 100% comfortable riding all day. I think the problem has been solved for both of us. I recommend this seat if you like to do a lot of long distance riding.

Demo Hammock with adjustable backrest

Reading through the reviews i noted that the opening lined up too far forward on the demo seat is this because there are two different designs, and does the #52000176 actually fit correctly with the adjustable backrest?
Asked by: PolarBear
I asked that same question at the dealer upon reading the same reviews. I was told the design is updated. I went ahead and purchased it and the adjustable rider backrest. In my opinion it fits fine. When the backrest is adjusted all the way back it seems to fit well, when you start adjusting it forward into your back, it does go into the seat, but I would think that would be expected and it doesn't bother me. There's a square plastic piece that goes on the bottom of the seat where the bracket would rub on the seat to prevent premature wear. All in all it works just fine for me, I don't have any complaints and I love the hammock seat.

wanting to make sure that part # 52000176 will work with the adjustable back part # 52501-09A for my 2015 Street Glide Special

my bike has a quick release Harley passenger back rest but I want to order seat & rider back rest
Asked by: WillieC
I had those same exact parts on my 2016 Road King and they worked fine. I traded that in and bought a 2016 Ultra Classic and they fit on it to. Now if you have Mid Frame Air Deflectors, I did some research, it will still work, but you'll have to mount the lever in the deflector or something to that affect, it's accounted for in the instructions. I haven't personally done it to my Ultra though, everything is mounted minus the lever to adjust the backrest. Bottom line, yes, these will work with your bike and you will love them both, I do anyway.

How high from ground does this leave the rider. When compared with stock

I have tried Zeppelin and sundowner demo seats. Zeppelins felt higher. I am 5'7 so it's important.
Asked by: Liam
Ok so I am answering my own question having purchased the hammock without a demo. It seems the same ride height as the sundowner, slightly higher the stock and lower then the Zeppelin. The jury is still out on the comfort. Better then stock. It may need some settle time before judgement. Initial thought on par or below sundowner. Not as good as Zeppelin. Priced between the two.??

Seat Width?

The description says the Hammock seat width is 16" but under the fitment tab it says the seat width is 17". Which is it?
Asked by: BuffaloMark
Hey BuffaloMark, Thanks for your question. The Seat width is 17.0" and the passenger pillion width is 15.0". I've updated the data on the site. Sorry about that! Hope this helps.

Whats the difference between 52000176 & 52000003A

I have a 2015 Ultra Limited, and looking for the part # for the Hammock Seat. Thank you.
Asked by: ben8ent
Hi Ben8ent, P/N 52000003A is for '09-'13 Touring and Trike models. It also fits '14-later Touring models not equipped with Tour-Pak®. P/N 52000176 is for '14-later Touring and Tri Glide™ models. You would want P/N 52000176 for your 2015 FLHTK. Thank you for your question.
