Hammock Heated Rider/Passenger Seat is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great seat but BEWARE it sits differently from the older generation I just switched from the older version of the heated hammock to this new one. I didn't notice that it sits higher as one reviewer stated but it most definitely sits you more forward by at least an inch. I think it will still be OK for me but it will take a bit of getting used to. All in all a great seat, either one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great seat for us. It is a hammock seat so rider saddle can be up to 2 inches taller than stock. People do your research!!! before you purchase anything. The heat works great on cold days but can barely feel it on hot days. It is great for relaxation of your ass/leg muscles on those long rides. It does help. It does make bumps more tolerable over stock seat. Better shocks next? We loved it so much when it was 29 degrees, that we are going to order the heated backrest.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noticably taller than my stock seat This seat put my eyes over the wind screen. It was noticeably taller than the seat I demo'd. Turned out I demo'd a seat for 2013's and lower. When this seat came in. Wow, Way too high. Had to send it back. Then my dealer ordered the older version of the Hammock we used on the demo. It's better, but still taller than my stock seat. And, less heat than the demo seat. I road for 2 hours on high and never felt a need to turn it down. On the demo seat, after 45 minutes, I had to switch to low First: Why would Harley offer heated seats Taller than stock. Considering how much riders pay to lower their bikes. It's kind of a big concern. Second, there seems to be a variation in how hot these seats get. Maybe some kind of quality control issue. At this point, I've tried the Sun Ray (WAY TOO TALL#, the Hammock that's suppose to work on my 2014 Ultra #Still TOO TALL#, and the older Hammock #closer to stock but still taller). All the new seats never got hot enough for me. With the exception of a demo seat that got hot enough to make we want to switch to low after 40 minutes. I'll try to get my money back from my dealer. Taller and less heat is not what I was looking for. I feel bad for my dealer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade I am 60 years old and riding a 2014 Ultra Limited. Most of the time, my wife is with me. She wanted a heated seat, so we got the Harley Hammock. The shape is quite different from the stock seat, with less support in the lumbar area. Now I am thinking about adding the driver backrest. The heat feature works well, and I think the bike rides noticeably better, particularly over the more harsh bumps. Considering the relatively short wheel travel on the rear suspension (a spec that Harley no longer publishes), this is a nice upgrade. My inseam is 29", so the reach to the ground was a concern, but I don't notice much of a difference. My wife says the stock seat is softer and more comfortable for her, but she likes the Hammock, and the heat is a great feature when you need it.

Is this the same seat that is on the 2016 Limited CVO?

Aside from the design, is the seat and underlying structure the same as on the Rushmore CVOs? Size, positioning, etc?
Asked by: rob0225
Hi rob0225, No. The Hammock Heated Rider/Passenger Seat is not pre-installed on the 2016 CVO Limited. This seat is simply an accessory seat and not an OE/manufactured seat. Hope the helps!

Will this heated backrest fit my bike

I have a 2016 cvo street glide with the chopped tour pack. Is this seat compatible with that setup ?
Asked by: WillKuz
Hi WillKuz, Yes, the Hammock Heated Seat will fit your 2016 CVO Street Glide w/ the chopped tour pak. For proper installation you may need to purchase an Electrical Harness Extrension, P/N 69200722. Thanks!

rider passenger hamock seat

does the seat create a higher seating position for the driver, Im 5'9" and just reach the ground flat footed with my legs extended pretty straight on my street glide , like the idea of the hammock but concerned about my footing if the seat is taller than stock
Asked by: kw831
Hey kw831, This Hammock seat is 15" in rider width, whereas the stock FLHX seat is 13" in rider width. Those 2" will affect your footing. Your best bet is to see if your local dealership has the Demo Seat program. If they do, and they have a Hammock seat, I would really recommend trying it out first.

does this seat increase the driver's reach to the ground?

Asked by: daniel54
The standard width of the rider portion of a stock '14 FLHTK seat is 14" and the width on the Hammock Heated seat is 15". So the Hammock won't get you much closer to the ground than your stock seat, but it will be a heck of a lot more comfortable!

I have a 2013 CVO Ultra Classic and looking for more comfortable seat but staying with the heated seat.

Is this seat considered to be much more comfortable than the one I have and will it fit my bike and plug right into my existing heater wiring?
