Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's cold outside? I didn't notice! I purchased these overpants because my chaps just weren't doing the job. These absolutely do the job. Included as standard features are armor at the knees and the hips, reflective piping, two front vents when a little cooling is needed, and a zipper to attach the pants to the FXRG jacket. The overpant has two generous front pockets and the leg zippers extend almost to the hips. One very small complaint is that there is a zipper at the crouch but it is not functional. These overpants have leather were it is needed and fabric where it's not. I believe that these pants are more than worth the cost. January 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally an end to the free-zing willy At last a practical, tough pair of leather armored pants to go over my heated gear...rode around in freezing weather Christmas night and never felt a thing, could of been summer for all I knew and that's the sort of stuff I like...gear that helps keep the rider comfortable because that's what keeps a rider alert and alive. Rated 5 out of 5 by Well made product I originally purchased these pants to deal with inclement weather during the winter months in Western NC. I found these pants to be very warm and comfortable. Instead of purchasing heated pants these will fill the gap perfectly. Coming from Asheville, NC, where the temperature plummeted to 25 degrees with gusts of wind up to 30mph I felt nothing!. The pants did well in the rain with no flaws in the typical rain gear spots. They are made to wear over other garments but order your normal pants size and wear them as a stand alone pant which solves the boot problem. If the weather warms just open up the ventilation. These pants were not made to be worn in mild weather say above 55 degrees. Two minor flaws I found were that they only have two pockets and no belt loops but the waist is adjustable and with suspenders the problem is solved. These pants fill the gap for me. A well made product! December 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Heavy duty riding pants Well made riding gear, these pants are made for extreme weather conditions. There are a couple of issues as mentioned by other reviewers. I have always had to take my boots off for any kind of over pant, except for chaps of course. As far as pulling them down to go to restroom, it's an even trade off. November 30, 2013

Do the pants fit easily over boots?

It looks like the zippers on the legs go up to the knees, looking to see how these pants compare with the feedback on the $250 switchback overpants.

Answer:
The side leg zippers go all the way past the knee to the mid thigh to make it easier to get on and off.

The FXRG line is the best riding gear we have. The attention to detail on this stuff is amazing and we back it up with a limited lifetime warranty.

Are you suuuure these shouldn't be ordered like chaps...oversized? the Large chaps of yours fit fine with jeans and heated pants liner but chill my privates so I need pants for winter leathers. So...jeans, heated pants liner, 34" waist, Large chaps fit over 'em..what size for these FXRG pants to do the same, large or medium?

Answer:
I wear a 36 and I ordered a 36 they fit right over my jeans and there is still extra room for heated liner. I don't have anything heated in mine just me and I'm normally sweating and opening the vents for air. hope this helps
