Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Boot This is by far one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I have owned. I ride year round in Seattle area and so I like to have waterproof but most importantly a boot that will not slip on ground with oil and water building up, these are the boots. Price tag hits hard but you get your dollars worth out of these. February 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by work horse These were exactly what I was looking for. Look great, comfortable, and tie laces with the zipper sides. I love that I can tighten these with the laces and then take them off via the zippers and put them back on and still be just as loose or snug as the last time I wore them. I wear these boots all day with no issues whatsoever. Feet feel good, stay dry, and warm but not sweaty all day. Been out in the rain and snow with these and feet have stayed dry. There is a small break in period associated with these. I was unsure if I ordered the right size at first, as they fit a little snug, but I had ordered the same size as a previous pair of Harley -brand boots so I took the chance and kept wearing them. Now that they have a little wear I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a top quality boot. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great comfortable Fit! These boots immediately feel comfortable and true to the size. Just got these , but I can't wait to really beak them in. November 4, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Good fit bad zipper Very disappointed. I wore these boots only during the winter months for one year. The zipper broke halfway through the 2d winter. October 30, 2014

Answer:
It's a thin layer which works well. In the winter I wear them with a pair of LL Bean wool sock and a thin sock between the boot and wool to create layers. On summer trips just a regular boot sock. They have kept my feet warm and dry on several cross country trips. You can't go wrong with this boot, well worth the investment.

Answer:
I wear a 12D and these boots are roomy enough that I can wear a thick wool sock in the winter. Because they have laces there is some room for adjustment.

Answer:
Besides the cosmetic differences of the two boots. The only differences are the FXRG-5 has 3M reflective material somewhere on the boot. Also, the FXRG-5 has a 8" shaft... while the FXRG-3 has a 7" shaft. Aside from that, they are the exact same boot. I have the FXRG-3 and have no complaints.
