Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product, but room for improvement I purchased this item about four years ago and have not regretted it at all! I love the ability to adjust the temp on my two heated garments. I use a heated vest and gloves during the winter months when riding. Being able to crank the heat on my gloves while dialing back on the vest really makes a big difference when riding. Yes, the vest can get too hot when it is plugged straight into the bike, this thermostat fixes that issue. My only complain and its a minor one, are the knobs. I would like to have the knobs in different shapes. It would be nice to have one that is a triangle or square shaped and the other round. This would make it easier to determine which item you're adjusting. Right now I try to remember which item is plugged into a particular wire, but I don't always get them matched up. Otherwise this is a must have if you're running more than one heated item. May 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! I would recommend purchasing this so you can keep your heat where you want it! I have owned this along with the jacket and gloves and I wished I haven't wasted so much money trying to stay warm prior to purchase of the heated gear. This is the best! December 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Duel Control Thermostat If you are going to have heated gear, the thermostat is the only way to go. The option of just switching it off and on doesn't give you the same level of comfort. However, this is the second thermostat I have ordered because the first one stopped working shortly after the warrenty ran out. I only use it a few times during the warrenty period so it really didn't last very long. June 23, 2014

Case

I purchased this thermostat a year ago, and in that time, the metal clip on the outside case has separated from the material. Is there a replacement case part number?

Are the connecting plugs on this control universal or do they only work on Harley clothing? I have Gerbing gloves that i would like to use this with.

Answer:
Gerbing does do a lot of our heated gear, but to say for sure that this will work with your particular gloves, I couldn't say. You're best bet is to contact Gerbing directly for help with this one.

Answer:
Hey there! The Dual Control Thermostat wasn't intended to be used with two jackets. The cord would likely not be long enough to reach to a passenger. We'd recommend an individual/single thermostat for each person.

The instructions on P/N 98541-04V do not say anything about the indicator lights. From experimenting, it looks like the gray knob is for the accessories and the black knob is for the jacket. Is that correct? If so, what does it mean that the green light flashes when the setting is low but become steady when the heat is turned up?

If the gray knob is for the jacket (yes, we checked to make sure everything was hooked up correctly), what do the yellow lights mean?

Answer:
BLACK knob controls cord marked with BLACK heat shrink and has a GREEN indicator light. This is to be used for gloves or pants or socks.

GREY knob controls cord marked with WHITE heat shrink and has a YELLOW indicator light. This is to be used for a jacket liner.

Indicator Lights (both Green and Yellow):
Flashes SLOWLY when set at LOW to Medium settings.
Flashes RAPIDLY when set at MEDIUM to High settings.
Constantly ON (no flashing) when set at HIGH setting.

Answer:
Each component (gloves, pant liner, jacket liner) comes with a selection of different amp fuses. The individual number of heated components dictate how many amps the system requires, not the heat controller. For example, the average draw for the jacket liner is 6 amps, while the draw for gloves is 2.2 amps. Thus, you would utilize a 10 amp fuse to run these two components. Both the single and double controller run off of a single power source from the motorcycle battery. Hope this helps.
