A large piece of plastic like this on the front of your HD is going to make the ride a little different - especially at highway speeds. There is going to be a great deal of resistance but once you get used to it - it's a whole new experience! Less stress on your neck and back, quieter, and debris free.
For me the main reason I purchased this is for the bugs. The upper mid-west is covered in the little critters that will splatter the hell out of a rider on a summer evening. This does a perfect job of keeping me relatively bug free and offers great visibility. Removes quickly for the in town poker runs and re-installs just as fast for the long road trips.

This was for my wife's 2005 Fatboy secvo. Fit is good she is 5.4 and it does a great job of deflecting the wind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Crutch Great looks & good performance.
Put this on my 2013 Softail Slim. The windshield looks fantastic on the bike and performs well on the highway. Regularly ride 75+ mph w/helmet and have NOT experienced the intense wind effects others seem to. I am 5'10" and this shield is just under my nose...perfect height for me.
There is some buffeting that takes some getting used to, but its MUCH better than having the wind hit your chest on those long hauls.

Well installation was a pretty straight forward following the directions. What I encountered was the grommets deform easily and also once everything was finger tight. it was a pain in the @#% to get the Windshield put in.
As for the top grommets the instructions are not clear if it is to be seated all the way in (flush) or not. if so it is so tight it takes WORK to get it in. I have to take a ride to the dealer to see if it all needs to be seated flush if not, I'll have to figure an alternative.
I guess I could have paid the $100 to get it installed and not racked my brain or knuckles. i'll probably end up taking it to the dealer to make sure it is in properly which it should be since the directions are broken down barney style.
Function review to follow!
