    07-later XL - Fuel Level Sensor P/N 61200008
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tach/Speedo I've had this installed last month. Now I can see when to shift without hitting the RPM limiter. It's easy to change the colors once you get the hang of programming the unit. The fuel gauge is easy to read. It has range remaining. When the fuel low light comes on, it's automatically switches to range remaining based on your riding style. I had to add the fuel level sensor but this added a lot of functionality to the gauge. The A and B scale is still present but now I'm not using the A scale as much since I no longer using it to guess my range remaining. This wipes out the B scale until it "marries" to the VIN. So if you're using B for the oil change, write down the OD total before you install this. August 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much better than stock The speedo/tach combo is great! Love the extra features of the gear indicator and accurate fuel gauge. Very easy install! July 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This would be a great addition if I could get it to Sync with S&S Ign My Custom FXR using a stock 2005 Dyna wiring harness will not sync with my S&S Ignition module May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tach\Spedo Just installed this on my '09 Dyna. Really missed having a tach and it seems to work quite well The gear indicator and easier to read odometer, trip meters and clock are useful extras. Spendy? Not hardly when you consider the HD gear indicator runs $220 and an after market tach is about $180. This is actually the cheaper way to go. Much better value than the the Auxiliary Power Port, and a lot easier to install. April 1, 2016

I recently upgraded my 883L to 1200cc and changed cams. This makes my stock speedometer run about 20% high. Since my speedometer is now off anyway, thought I'd upgrade to one with a tachometer.

Is it adjustable by bike? Or do I need a speed sensor too?

Thanks!
Brandon

Answer:
Hello BikerBrando,

The speedometer is the same for 883 or 1200, it gets the input from the PPU. this is part of the calibration. if you have a 1200 Cal in a 883 the speedometer will be off. or if you change the gearing it will be off.

Hope this helps!

Retrofit/Custom Build

I am going to use this on a custom build, equiped with kit 61200008A, and an 2004 Sporster 883C ICM with corresponding 2004 VIN coded on it.
My question is: Does the speedo/tach BLOCKS functions (Gear Speed and Fuel Level) based on VIN stored on the ICM, or it simply shows incorrect information?

To better explain, does the speedo/tach show different configuration and menus if I use an 2004 ICM than a 2009 ICM, by recognizing it is a 2004 vs 2009 motorcycle?

Hi Jeffrey O,

To answer your question, it is still required for '06-later XL models to use a Fuel Level Sensor. No upgrade information has been provided regarding this feature.

Hope this helps!
