My 2014 Street Glide Special was a corporate owned vehicle so it came with Stage 1 fairing and lowers speakers along with these saddlebag speakers. The first set blew right after I bought the bike. But since they were under warranty they were replaced. Then the dealer broke the connector at the saddlebag when servicing the bike. Took 3 separate trips for the correct parts to get in. But now that everything is fixed these speakers are great. I bump the fader just barely to the lowers and to the saddlebags and I can hear these speakers nice and clear even at 80+ mph. I wear a half helmet so it might be difficult to hear with a full face helmet. I never turn the volume over ¾. No, the bass isn't as noticeable at hwy speeds but that's due to noise canceling coming from the exhaust.

Great addition to bike. Made a huge difference in sound. Installed these along with boom audio stage 1 amp and front fairing speakers.

I bought these in Jan. of this year for my 2015 Street glide. At highway speeds these are no good. The Bass is just not up to par, as within 2 weeks or so, they came out with the Stage II speakers. The problem is, it reads."FINAL SALE, NON-RETURNABLE", why is that? The Stage II /Amp. work better than the Stage I one's with a amp. and can be heard far better. Read the specs. and you decide. More Bass and Better sound is what I wanted but bought these in Jan. and now I'm stuck with them in just two weeks later in Feb.

This are good sounding speakers. If you install them, do the amp and fairing speakers also. Very easy to install. Make sure you have a step drill bit. You will need to have the amp flashed. Make sure you take your time tightening everything. Don't over torque the speaker into the lids and the grills to the lids.
Have fun and enjoy the sound
