Rated 5 out of 5 by Boom Audio Music & Comm Kit Is A Worthwhile Investment I put this on my 2017 Street Glide and absolutely love it. This setup is the only way to use all of the features of the boom audio infotainment center. You can use voice control to make calls, change music selection and etcetera. Prior to doing this install I looked at Bluetooth options but realized that the Bluetooth options only allowed me to sync the headset to my phone, which in my view is kind of worthless. The only dislike I had, was where the instructions said to install this unit, which was on top of the fuel take. I installed mine on the left side of the inner fairing. The entire install process was very easy. All you will need is a T27 Torx and a drill with a 3/4" drill bit to install this on the inner fairing. The T27 Torx is used to remove the fairing screws, and the drill with 3/4" drill bit will be used to drill the hole in the inner fairing. Before you attempt to screw the cover onto the unit to attach it to the inner fairing, you will need to cut off a plastic tab on the underside of the cover so that it will sit flush against the inner fairing. Rated 5 out of 5 by Boom! Audio Music & Comm Kit The delivery time was excellent. The cable fit the bike as advertised and it works with the helmet cables and with the Sena SC-A0120 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 7-Pin DIN Cable for Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, and the Sena SM10-01 Dual Stream Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter for up to 2 Audio Devices. I have now converted the Boom audio the Blue tooth transmitter directly into my helmet. I can now listen the the radio and map audio without a cable. October 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works brilliantly with my 2017 Street Glide Special So like everyone else I wanted helmet audio and purchased the Harley Davidson Bluetooth 20S (Sena) headset. Imagine my surprise when I found out that it doesn't work with my bike - that also has bluetooth! NUTS! So I purchased this cable. Also like others I didn't like the recommended placement on top of the gas tank. I saw where this is placed on the SGS CVO (on the front fairing to the left of the boom box radio) so decided to try and copy that. Fitting the ground pin - no problem (a little fiddly but worked fine) Drilling the hole in the fairing - TERRIFYING :) (but worked really well) Fitting the new cable and attaching to the fairing (super easy). I have to say I'm REALLY happy with this on the bike - my only gripe is why Harley don't include this by default. Works brilliantly. Oh and I purchased a Sena 20S helmet clamp for Harley that lets me plug the 20S into the new connector and it works fantastic with the boom box. So now I have great boom audio in my helmet AND bike to bike bluetooth communication. Very happy. October 8, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mount it in the console Finally gave in that HD will not ever allow Bluetooth headset communications. Also noted that once installed it will be a bear in the future to remove the fuel tank as no way to break apart this harness. So after getting really upset that HD recommends mounting onto the painted tank I threw away the instructions and mounted the connector into the tank console as previous reviewer recommended. Removed the console, drilled a 3/4 inch hole through the console, left the tank on, and routed the wire past the gas cap to the front of the tank under the console, under the fairing up to the factory installed mating connector. HD could have made this truly plug n play, but instead you have to pull out a seal pin from the connector and install a short ground wire to a grounding lug. (YouTube showed how to pull out the insulator around the connector pins before pushing out the seal pin). A quick release connector in this harness would make tank removal a cinch but now will just need to remove the tank console first. February 13, 2016

HD - please add a kit for the passenger. There was one for pre-Rushmore that I had on a previous Road Glide. It's nice to have the ability to yak with the rear seater instead of yelling or getting whomped on the back of the head...

Have a 2016 RGS and already installed a 7-pin DIN connector for the rider to fully use the capabilities of the 6.5 inch BOOM! radio, but it occurred to me that when my wife rides with me, she has nothing to plug into. Limiting her abilities. Is there anything made and available by Harley that I can install that would work like what I find on the Ultras. In other words a passenger 7-pin for her to plug into? Pretty sure I will need the CB, and that's INWK. But...I'm certain that I would still need to install a second 7-pin somewhere on the back seat. Just cannot find anyone that's done it.

I can't believe that you cannot add a pillion set to the bike, Harley Technical Europe have confirmed that there is not kit for the bike apparently if they pay for the licence Bluetooth may work is this true.

I bought the bike new, added the comm kit myself and the selection for headset is selected. The instructions say to update software with digital tech. Is there an enhancement after the update?

Answer:
Hi Doug !

You need to take your Harley to your dealer and have them "program" your Boom Box. The primary reason is that your Boom Box will recognize the head set. Otherwise, it will not work. My dealer did this free of charge.

Hope this answers your question ............................ David F.
