Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked Perfect Installed in a 2015 Street Glide CVO with no problems. Mounted it as per the instruction..Took all of 5 or 10 minutes. Used a J&M hidden antenna in the fairing and works great...Did NOT have to have the radio flashed by the dealer as stated. May 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent communications Put it on my Street Glide. Yeah, had to upgrade hand controls for the PTT button. Used an internal antennae inside the fairing. Comm. is great. PTT is on throttle hand, like someone previously said, but I was in cruise control most the time anyway. Oh, I forgot to say that after I installed it myself I had to get the system flashed by the dealer. Half hour labor... groan! July 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bike to Bike Com on 2014 Tri Glide It works! The unit works but the design for the 2014 Tri Glide Ultra was absent when building the 2014 trike. The factory stock bike doesn't come with the push to talk button on the "right" controls. The wiring is there but no button. Why it wasn't included is the first problem. The second was there is no Harley control replacement made. You have two options. 1. Buy a kit , retail $449.00 that has both right and left controls. They are really cool and back lit. But the left control doesn't have a reverse button, making it a "down grade" Not to mention, your controls will not match now. One side lit and the other not. 2. Look for a used right control from someone that has upgraded a similar touring model to the lighted controls. As for the Antenna recommended you buy, don't unless you make sure to order the stud that fits the blank right antenna mount and you have already checked to see that you do or don't have a cable run to the trunk for the CB. If you do have this cable, you still need a bracket to connect it to the right antenna. After getting all that sorted out, your CB will work just fine. I suggest you get everything you need before you plan your trip. Final Comment: Harley should have put the push to talk button on the left control as it make more sense since the clutch hand would be safer to use over the throttle. July 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2014 street glide special Hello All, I am not sure why Harley does not update the fitment section, but this DOES work on FLHXS (street glide special). Here is what parts I used: 1) CB module 2) Lighted switches (the one with PTT button) 3) J&M CB hidden antenna 4) Communication harness Another option for the Antenna is to put a hidden FM/AM so you can use the bracket on left side bike to mount CB cable/shorty antenna. Harley does not offer the right side bracket. This can be made if you make a symmetric bracket off the left. I do understand that you can use your cell phone as a communication device through the bike, but when going up to Canada may get large roaming charges therefore CB is great. July 4, 2014

My bike already has a PTT and sqluech control on right. I'd like to use the in-faring CB antenna. What part numbers are correct for CB radio module, antenna and any other wiring harness parts? Also, where does the module mount on the CVO Street Glide? Thanks in advance.

CB, Antenna, Switch

I purchased a 2014 Tri-Glide in November and it does not have the coax for the CB already run to the back nor does it have PPT switch on the left handlebar as my 2014 Limited does. They may have left those items on the early models, but now they are not on there.

Answer:
My 2014 Tri Glide Ultra was delivered Oct 7 It is pre wired for the bike to bike comm kit less a ptt switch and right rear antenna. Check behind the right side antenna mounting spot between the tour pack liner and the the outside painted surface. If there is a green wire attached then the bike is pre wired and you will find a coax cable behind th e outer fairing on the left side rear of the radio. It is ready to be plugged into the optional comm kit. I purchased the back lit controls with the ptt switch and it worked fine but has no reverse button so I had to return them. HD does not offer these back lit controls for the trike yet. You can purchase a new right side control pack for $210.00 from HD and you will be all set up for bike to bike. Hope this helps.

The TriGlide already has the intercom, so why do you need to replace the switch pack? Also, this sounds fairly complicated. Has anyone out there added the Bike-to-Bike Communications kit to their 2014 trike, and what was your experience?

Answer:
I agree.. The Tri-Glide Ultra doesn't come standard a bike-to-bike comm although it does have a PTT button and the entire wiring mounted on the handle-bar. However, it does come standard with Co-axe pre-wiring for it already installed. Be careful though, the CB antenna mast pin is on HEAVY back order from what I was told today.

Jerry

Answer:
I'm still researching it myself, but I might have found the answer to the CB antenna problem. Look up the Shorty CB antenna, P/N 76386-09A. It includes a stud, P/N 76000166 which is used to attach the shorty antenna to the Tour Pak on a 2014 trike. You can view the installation instructions on the More Info page. I currently believe the standard CB antenna P/N 76250-09 will screw onto that same stud. The stud is available separately, and is very inexpensive.

Answer:
I have the same Trike. I've recently purchased the Advanced Audio Antenna kit (http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/cb-antenna-kit).

It comes with Coax wire and mounting accessories. I went to install this and the 2014 Tri-glide is already pre-wired. In the right side of the Tour-Pak you should see a plug where the antennae sits. With a small screw driver you can GENTLY pry out the plug to reveal the threads.

I have a request into Harley that they provide me with the SHORTENED Antenna adapter so I can just remove the plug and install JUST the antenna. The antenna adapter that comes with this kit is TOO LONG. All you need is an adapter that screws into the Lens housing on the tour-Pak and that is long enough to stick out so that the antenna can screw into it.

Hope this help
