I wasn't happy with the rear lights of my 2014 Road King. The turn signals only perform as turn signals. This device turns the rear turn signals into both running and brake lights and is a vast improvement in visibility over the stock configuration. As previously mentioned in another review, why isn't this a stock item? In an earlier attempt to improve the lighting on the rear of my RK I had switched to really bright LED bulbs for the turn signals. With LED bulbs this device will cause the turn signals to function as running lights only, but will not cause the turn signals to function as brake lights. I chose to go back to the less bright single filament incandescent bulbs to take advantage of the brake light feature of the device. Easy 5 minute install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by UncleKebo An ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!
Why this part is not standard I have no idea. It adds a ton more visibility to the bike. Installation was beyond easy and the best money I spent on the bike to date. My only deviation is I kept the stock orange lenses installed.

Just installed on my bike this week, only took 15 minutes to install. Very process and gave me more running lights on the rear, I went with red lenses to match all three. Also install LED bulbs, the new running lights are brighter than my brake light but I think the more lights you can have to be more visible is a must. I would buy this for my next bike for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Truedog Definitely brighter
I installed this on my 2014 RK as a lower cost alternative to LED lights in order to brighten up the rear lighting. It is effective, but I have two minor quibbles. First is that the running lights are almost too bright, so that when operating as turn or brake lights there is not enough difference in brightness. My other problem is that the lenses are a different shade of red than the tail light, making it look a little funny to me. I may switch back to the amber lenses.
