1. Harley-Davidson Product Concerns
   Please note that this forum is not intended as a place for receiving consumer complaints pertaining to Harley-Davidson or Buell products. If you have a complaint or issue with your Harley-Davidson or Buell product, please contact your local dealer. If they cannot resolve the issue, we want to help, but we can't do it here. Please contact our Customer Care.

2. If you have a general suggestion for new or improved products or services that is not patented or subject to a patent application (such as, 'make the mirrors more radical,' 'offer a pink motorcycle,' 'use this song in an advertisement,' etc.), then:

   • Please email H-DIdeaSubmissionsSuggestion@harley-davidson.com. Please include your full name, address, email address, phone number and a complete description of your suggestion. General suggestions are accepted exclusively by email.

   • Your suggestion will be routed to a Harley-Davidson Motor Company employee.

   • While we welcome your suggestion, we cannot promise that your suggestion will be used. Harley-Davidson Motor Company does not pay compensation for general suggestions.

3. If your idea is covered by an existing patent or pending patent application, or your idea is a technical invention relating to one of our existing products or a new product:

   • Please complete an Idea Submission form.

   • Once you have completed the form, please email H-DIdeaSubmissionsSuggestion@harley-davidson.com and include the completed form with your full name, address, email address, phone number and attach a complete description of your idea, as well as photographs, drawings, specifications and details. When submitting an email with your name inserted on the form, your name will be accepted as your signature.

   • We prefer that completed forms be sent electronically. If necessary, you may mail the completed form to Harley-Davidson, Idea Submissions, 3700 W. Juneau Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53208.

   • Harley-Davidson Motor Company generally does not pay any compensation to anyone for ideas and cannot promise that any compensation will be paid once an idea is submitted.

Because of the volume of suggestions and ideas we receive, we cannot promise we will use your idea or respond to your submission (although we do try to respond).

Harley-Davidson is continuously working to improve its products and services and develop new ones. We appreciate your interest in what we are doing. Thank you for communicating with us.

Dear Prospective Licensee:

Harley-Davidson’s Licensing Department is responsible to pursue and review business opportunities with companies that have the expertise and resources to provide product that will enhance the Harley-Davidson motorcycle experience.

Our brand is one of our most valued assets. We continuously look to bring the right product mix to market while protecting and preserving the integrity of the Harley-Davidson brand. To do this, we carefully review and consider licensees based on the following criteria:

• Leader in the category or a company possessing a unique patented “new” product or category

• Meets or exceeds our labor laws, safe and barrier free work environments, etc.

• Have the ability to sell and service our Dealer Network

• Financially positioned to endure the term of the Licensed Agreement

• In-house art, product development, quality control, accounting, and logistic departments that meet or exceed our expectations

• Ability to translate the Harley-Davidson Brand into product

The Harley-Davidson Licensing Department will not review submissions for the following requests:

1. Product ideas that require Harley-Davidson Motor Company to manufacture or support financially.

2. One-time permission to use company information, our trademarks and/or imagery. This type of request needs to be submitted to the External Communications Council. Instructions and process for these types of submissions are available by calling the ECC Hotline at 414-343-4876.

3. Unsolicited ideas. Instructions and process for these types of submissions are available by calling the Idea Submission Hotline at 414-343-7744.

Proposals will not be considered without the Licensee Application Form completed. Do not send samples at this time. Please refer to Page 4 of the Licensee Application Form for the legal notice regarding samples that may be requested after proposal is reviewed.
