Take a look at points of interest such as local hotels or H-D dealers along the roads. Turn them on by clicking on the icon at the top of the main Ride Planner screen, and these unique locations will be visible as you travel across the map.

Share your favorite roads with the riders from all over the world! When you save your ride plan as public , we'll add it to our database of user riders. Meanwhile, rate and review routes from other riders, and get some ideas for your next ride plan.
Read reviews and ratings or view local landmarks and sample itineraries for routes from the H-D Great Roads database. See how your ride stacks up against the Great Roads of the world. Just use the "Roads" feature at the top of the main Ride Planner screen.
When you save your ride plan, make it public. You'll add a whole new dimension to your Ride Planner experience.

Reverse geocoding means that when you point-and-click to add a location, you'll automatically receive a real, physical location in that spot.

Create Your Own Route
Create routes from scratch using our map-based Ride Planner tool.

Add locations by entering addresses or pointing and clicking on the map. Find a starting point and an ending point and the Ride Planner does the rest, creating a route that stretches from your starting point to the end. Just type in your location or right-click on the map and select "+ Add location". You can also choose from our included Points of Interest.

Add Points of Interest
Choose form included Points of Interest, and add them to your route.

Right-click on a local Point of Interest and choose "Add to My Ride". It's a quick and easy way to add locations when you don't know the address or want to update your ride plan quickly.
Your Ride Planner location can be rearranged in any order. Use the arrow buttons in the My Ride panel to change the order that your route will follow.

Change Roads Using Waypoints
It's easy to adjust your route and change roads using waypoints.

Get off the main drag and rumble over less-traveled roads. For example, if you'd like take a side trip to Nebraska on your way from Colorado to South Dakota. Take control of your route using waypoints. Just drag the route to a new road, or right click on the map and choose "+ Add waypoint".
If you decide to stop at the waypoint, you can change it to a location with a click of the mouse. Place a waypoint on the map and your route will automatically be directed through that area.

Add Points of Interest
Enhance your ride with Points of Interest you can include along the route.

Add local points of interest to your route by turning on either H-D dealers or hotels at the top of the main Ride Planner screen. This adds a new level of interactivity to your ride plan. Visit a H-D dealer's website or book rooms at a hotel along your route. Just click on the location and visit it's website.

Manage Your Ride Plans
It's easy to manage all of your saved ride plans in a single location.

You can access your saved ride plans by clicking on the "You have [x] saved roads" link in the upper right hand corner. From this window you can retrieve your ride plans by clicking on its name. You can also view and edit the details of your plan, including the name, scenery, best season, etc. by clicking View/Modify details link.

Save Your Favorite Rides
Save your ride plan and retrieve it from My Saved Rides at any time.

Once you've completed your ride plan, just click "Save as Ride Plan", login to your H-D profile, and enter some details about your ride. Plus, when you save your ride plans as "public", it will be viewable by riders all over the world, and will join the database of rider-submitted routes. Your ride will be stacked up against the Great Roads, and users will be able to search for your plan, rate it, make comments, and use it to spark ideas for their own rides. The public ride plan option helps maintain a worldwide database of routes across the world for riders and by riders.

Update Your Saved Rides
Update your ride plan, and more details, or share it with other riders.

Once you've opened the "My Saved Ride Plans" panel, choose a ride plan by clicking on it's name. Re-open any of your ride plans to adjust their route, notes, or locations. Use the "View/Modify details" link to provide information about the scenery and best season to ride, or make your ride plan public.

Send Saved Road to a Friend
Send your ride plan to a friend so they can share the ride.

From the list of your saved ride plans, you can e-mail your ride plan to a friend by clicking on the "Send in e-mail" link. Just enter their e-mail address, separating multiple entries with commas, and include a brief message & we'll send them a link to your ride plan.

Share a Route with the Public
Save your ride plan as public so your fellow riders can see it.

Retrieve your saved ride plans from "My Saved Ride Plans" panel. When you re-save your ride plan, you can provide information about the scenery and best season to ride, and review the ratings and reviews received from other riders. If you decide to delete one of your public ride plans, it will also de deleted from the user submitted roads database, along with all information that was saved with the road, including rating or reviews by other riders.

View Plans Submitted by Others
Rate and review ride plans submitted by other riders.

Click on the "Roads" icon at the top of the screen to open the Roads panel. Routes will be highlighted on your map from the H-D Great Roads database, as well as routes submitted by other users. You can rate and review the roads submitted by other riders.
Click on the "Reviews" link in the left-hand panel or left click on the road icon on the map and choose "More Information" to learn about the route, rate it, and add your own comments. (To review a road, choose the star rating and then click "Save". A new tab will open and you can write your review in that window.)
