Designing a Celebration

Designing A Celebration gives visitors a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the design and manufacturing processes used to create Harley-Davidson‘s anniversary model motorcycles and the special logos they bear. The very first commemorative vehicles were introduced in 1953 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the company. The tradition was revived for the 85th anniversary in 1988, and since then, Harley-Davidson‘s Styling Department has outdone itself every five years, creating unique paint schemes and trim features for these coveted limited-edition motorcycles. The distinctive anniversary logos and models pay tribute to the resilience of the brand and provide inspiration as we look to the future. The sketches, prototype parts, and production process examples used to tell this fascinating story provide insight into the creativity and passion that goes into the anniversary vehicles and products.
