Bring Your Engine Back to Life

Your engine is the heart and soul of your Harley-Davidson motorcycle. When the miles start to add up, the Harley-Davidson Remanufacturing Program can put the rumble back into your powerplant simply, quickly and affordably.

1. Take Your Bike to a H-D retailer

Take your Harley® to your authorized retailer. They'll remove the engine and send it to our remanufacturing facility.

2. Take Your Bike to a H-D dealer

Our highly skilled technicians will rebuild, repaint, test and bring your engine back to factory specifications and better than ever.

3. Take Your Bike to a H-D dealer

In approximately four weeks, your engine is returned to your retailer who re-installs it and gets you back onto the road with a one-year, unlimited mileage warranty.

HOW IT'S DONE

The Journey Begins

Your H-D® retailer removes your engine, packs it in a specially-designed container and ships it to the authorized Remanufacturing Facility.

1. Disassembly

Engine components that can be cleaned and remanufactured to original specifications are saved, while others are discarded.

2. Cleaning & Powder Coating

Reusable parts are cleaned and paint is removed. After inspection, parts are powder-coated to original factory standards.

3. Machining

Parts are machined, bored and honed to exact tolerances. Only components that meet our strict standards make it this far.

4. Reassembly

All components are meticulously reassembled and upgraded to meet the latest specifications while retaining its stock configuration.

5. Testing & Finishing

After passing a battery of tests, your engine is awarded a one-year, Unlimited Mileage Factory Warranty.

Back in the Saddle

Approximately four weeks after its journey began, your V-twin is returned to your retailer for reinstallation with a new lease on life and its original VIN.
