Financial costs associated with becoming a Retailer.

The costs associated with becoming a Canadian Harley-Davidson® Retailer depend upon the opportunity available. When a new Retail Store opportunity is available, the investment requirements vary according to the market study information and industry data for the location. Investment requirements for Retail Store sellout opportunities vary depending on the asking price established by the selling Retailer, operating capital requirements, and facility expenses.

Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada does not charge a franchise fee. Canadian Harley-Davidson® Retail Stores are not franchises - they are independently owned and operated businesses.

Information on Retail Stores for sale.

Before we can forward your name to any selling Retailers, Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada must first receive your completed prospective Retailer application. After all investors complete the prospective Retailer application, the file will initially be reviewed for financial strength, business experience, and geographic preference. Potentially-qualified candidates may be contacted by Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada.

Selling Harley-Davidson® clothing and/or Parts & Accessories.

Harley-Davidson® products are distributed exclusively through authorized, full-line Retail Stores. Only these full-line Retailers may own additional locations that specialize in MotorClothes® apparel, collectibles, and Genuine Motor Accessories™.

Distance between neighbouring Retail Stores.

There is no specific distance on how close Retail Stores can be to each other. However, motor vehicle statutes in some provinces regulate the distance between Retail Stores, and Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada also has various policies to address this issue.

Opening a Retail Store in an already-acquired building.

Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada conducts its own market studies when considering expansion of the Retailer network. This enables the Company to view many market areas in a similar manner, optimizing consistent and accurate results. Based on the results of these studies, Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada selects the markets and locations where new Retail Stores will be established.
