Get the latest software for your Boom! Box Infotainment System here. Each highly recommended update improves the quality of the system, keeping it running at maximum effectiveness.

 

Simply review the list, select your infotainment model number, download the file to a USB memory stick. Then insert it in your Boom! Box Infotainment System's USB port and follow the onscreen instructions to update your system.

Boom Audio Bluetooth Device Manager Installation Instructions

 

1.   Select “Download Boom Audio Bluetooth Device Manager” for the appropriate
      operating system.
2.   When prompted, save the compressed file to your computer desktop.
3.   When the download is complete, extract the file to your desktop and run the installer.
4.   Follow the on screen instructions to install any necessary drivers.

 

20S, 20S EVO, or SPH10 Update Instructions


1.   Make sure the headset is powered off.
2.   Make sure you have the USB to USB micro cable provided with your headset.
3.   Run the Boom Audio Bluetooth Device Manager program.
4.   Follow the on screen instructions for updating your headset.
5.   After installation is complete, please perform a factory reset on your headset.

 

 

 

WHIM

 

Updates only applicable on the following bikes equipped with a Wireless Headset Interface Module:

  • 2018 CVO Street Glide
  • 2018 CVO Road Glide
  • 2018 CVO Limited
  • Other 2014 or newer Touring and Trike models equipped with a Boom! Box 6.5GT audio system and an accessory Wireless Headset Interface Module Part Number 76000768.

 

WHIM Update Instructions


1.   Make sure the motorcycle is completely off and in the Ignition Off state.
2.   Remove the seat and locate the USB plug, this will be used for updating the WHIM
      software (note: if you purchased the WHIM as an accessory, your USB plug may be
      under the right side cover instead).
3.   Make sure you have the USB to USB micro cable provided with your headset.
4.   Run the Boom Audio Bluetooth Device Manager program.
      a.   You will be instructed during the update process to plug the USB cable into your
      computer; do not plug it in prior to this.
5.   Follow the on screen instructions for updating your WHIM.

 

 

 

BOOM!™ BOX AUDIO SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS


Make sure your Harley-Davidson® Advanced Audio System or Boom!™ Audio iPod® Interface operate at peak performance with the latest software updates. Bring your bike to your local dealership to update or do it yourself by following the instructions below.


SOFTWARE UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS


1.   Verify your audio system’s current software version.
      a.  Select the following display menu items: “Home/Set-up/System Information Software Version”.
      b.  Record the software version.
      c.  Compare your audio system’s software version with the latest version available on this page.
      d.  If the software versions are the same, you have the latest software available and there is no need to update. If a higher level

           software level is available on harley-davidson.com, continue to update your audio system.

NOTE:  Do not interrupt the installation process. Leave the vehicle and radio turned on, and keep the USB flash drive installed until the installation process is complete.


2.   Download the latest software version from harley-davidson.com
      a.   Select "Download Software Update" for the appropriate system.
      b.   When prompted, save the compressed file to your computer desktop.
      c.   When the download is complete, copy the file within the zipped folder to the root directory (the first or top most directory in

            a file system) of a USB flash drive that is 8 GB or larger.
      d.   Turn your vehicle's ignition switch to ACCESSORY. (Keyless ignition vehicles: press and hold the trip switch for more than

             two seconds).
      e.   Turn on the audio system and connect the USB flash drive to the audio system's USB port.
      f.    The audio system will detect the new software available and ask if you want to update. Select “Yes”. The display will prompt

             you to remove the USB drive when the update is complete.

NOTE: If the incorrect software file for your audio system is copied to the USB flash drive, and connected to the audio system's USB port, the following error message will result: "The ISO image on the attached USB is corrupt or incompatible".
