Muscle Bicycle Rally
Sunday, August 14, 2016
10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Outside The Garage
As drag racing reached new heights of popularity in the 1960s, muscle bicycles debuted and were manufactured until the mid-1970's. Schwinn, Huffy, Murray and other companies used drag racing-inspired ling and features to sell their bicycles.
On Sunday, August 14, the H-D Museum will host the top collectors of muscle bicycles outside The Garage, where the Museum's special exhibit, Drag Racing: America's Fast Time is open through September 5. Muscle bicycles will be on display from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and range from a 1964 Mattel Stallion to a 1972 Schwinn Apple Krate. At 12 p.m., participating vendors will compete in a Wheelie Contest and Pro Skid Contest – you don’t want to miss it.
