Daytona videos win three Telly Awards

Harley-Davidson’s creative services and social media teams have earned three Telly Awards for videos produced for Daytona Bike Week.

“Live Your Dreams,” a segment about two women riders, and “The Ives Brothers,” a piece featuring a stunt-riding team, each received a Bronze Telly Award in the Branded Content – Non-Broadcast category. The Ives brothers video also won a People’s Telly Award, which is decided by a public online vote.

The two segments were part of a 10-video series created for daily viewing on Harley-Davidson’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter feeds during Bike Week.

“This video series gave us the opportunity to establish Harley-Davidson social channels as the go-to space for Daytona content,” said Jeff Wick, social marketing lead. “They received more than 2.5 million views and brought our brand and our bikes to life in a great way.”

According to video producer Derek Keyeski, the team wanted to capture those unforgettable stories that really create memories for a lifetime and highlight real riders who bring that idea of ‘dreams of personal freedom’ to life. The crew put in a ton of effort to make this happen and it’s rewarding to see that work get this recognition.”

In 2016, the Telly Awards received more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.

The awards, founded in 1979, honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as non-broadcast film and video content. The panel of judges includes advertising, production and other creative professionals who are former Telly Award winners.
