It’s the last leg – Discover More 2015 comes to the UK

This week, Luis Castilla has landed in the UK for the final leg of the awe-inspiring #DiscoverMore2015 tour. He says “journeys can teach you a whole lot about the world and about yourself, perhaps more than any other experience.” We couldn’t agree more…

With a host of videos and blogs of the stunning routes chosen by Luis on his European tour available to view on, we wondered where would your ultimate tour take you?

Perhaps the North Coast 500 – or the Route 66 of Scotland as it’s affectionately known – which takes in the Northern Coastal roads showcasing the fairytale beaches, castles and ruins is your dream route. Or maybe visiting the open roads and quaint surroundings of the Antrim Coast road in Northern Ireland is your goal for this year?

Whatever your dream route is, we want to know! We believe there’s nobody more qualified to recommend great riding routes than the people who have ridden, researched and dreamed about them. That’s why we’ve connected riders across Europe in a huge conversation to learn about the best places to discover more this year, through word-of-mouth recommendations on a website that couldn’t be easier to use.

The Greatest Rides hub is your one-stop shop serving as both a portal for tour inspiration and a place to share your greatest adventures so far.

If you’re researching for a future trip, you can filter your search by country, terrain type, difficulty, duration and even by special features on the route to find your perfect ride-out. Whether that’s a mountainous trail, a twisty tree-lined adventure or roads perfect for sitting back, cruising and enjoying the scenery.

For the UK leg of his tour, Luis has chosen stunning roads through England, Scotland and Wales so be sure to keep an eye out for the entourage! After the ferry docks in Hull, Luis and the crew will ride through the tranquil Yorkshire Dales up to Dumfries. From here they’ll ride via Loch Lomond National Park to Fort William where they’ll enjoy Scottish heritage in the form of a manor house tour.

Next the tour will take in the rich cultural landscape of the Cairngorms National Park, riding up to the Speyside Distillery for a tour to see how the National drink is produced from a modest barley grain through to neat spirit aged for years in casks.

Then it’s back to England to take in the beautiful sights of the Lake District before riding the legendary Cat and Fiddle road, renowned within the motorcycling community for its sprawling views and many corners.

In Wales, Luis will visit Snowdonia and the surrounding areas. Exploring the Slate mines and great riding routes before heading back to Oxford for the Welcome back party, a full eight weeks after he first set out on the ultimate Discover More 2015 tour!

We hope you’ll join us in welcoming Luis back to the UK, where his epic route plans should have you feeling inspired in no time at all. Follow his progress on the Harley-Davidson UK Facebook page as well as for updates and videos of the story so far! #DiscoverMore2015
