Oxford (September 26, 2014) - Organising your annual insurance cover for your motorcycle can be a laborious task, but making sure your pride and joy is covered for every eventuality is of paramount importance. Now, it doesn’t have to be as expensive as you think either, as Harley Rider Insurance™ has just cut the cost of its cover for 60 Harley-Davidson® models.
“We instigated a thorough review to ensure premiums were accurately reflecting current risk and as a result premiums have automatically been reduced,” explains Mark Rzedzian of Harley-Davidson Insurance Services®. “The reductions can be quite dramatic. For example, the Softail® Breakout® has now been reclassified lowering the insurance grouping, which translates into a saving. In fact, many riders, such as those aged under 30, should also now benefit from premium reductions.”
The HARLEY RIDER INSURANCE™ policy was re-launched in 2010 specifically to meet the needs of Harley® riders. Offering a five percent discount to members of the Harley Owners Group®, it provides comprehensive cover for riding other Harleys, with Stage 1 tuning* covered as standard.
Other standard benefits include free and unlimited agreed value* which will cover any Harley accessorised using Harley-Davidson® accessories, UK and European breakdown and accident assistance and up to £100,000 in Motorcycle Legal Protection cover, which can be used to recover uninsured losses and injury compensation should you be involved in a non-fault accident.
“The policy has been designed and refined in consultation with Harley® riders,” continues Mark. “Cover to ride other bikes was introduced simply because many riders requested it while we also saw that owners would be reassured by our decision to ensure that accident damaged bikes are by default recovered and delivered to the policyholder’s own Harley-Davidson® dealer, so that it is repaired by specialists using only genuine Harley parts and accessories.”
The policy is also backed by an in-house referral service, which means the risk can be reassessed and sent to the insurer for checking. To see if you and your bike could benefit from the new rates call 0800 458 2612
