Oxford (16 December 2013) - The shed door has been locked and the bikes are safely tucked up as we say goodbye to Motorcycle Live for another year. The show, which took place from 23 November to 1 December was a roaring success and even got a royal seal of approval with a surprise visit from the Duke of Cambridge!
With Harley-Davidson enjoying two stands, guests revelled in a vintage treat as they travelled through time and saw some iconic bikes as part of the company’s celebrations of 110 years of making great motorcycles. Among the many delights were some of the Warr’s Harley-Davidson private collection, including a 1912 Silent Gray Fellow and a 1947 EL Knucklehead.
But it wasn’t all tea and scones as the 2014 Fat Bob® made an appearance with its edgy, Dark Custom styling. In contrast, glittering in all their glory were the Sportsters, with all-new ABS as standard and new Hard Candy Custom™ metal flake colours.
Then, there was the Project Rushmore-inspired Touring range, including the new Tri Glide® Ultra Classic® trike, which made its first UK appearance! Also making its debut was the finished People’s Bike, a fully customised Dark Custom Iron 883™ with the added Genuine Parts and Accessories selected by the fanbase of the Harley-Davidson UK Facebook Page.
Visitors to the stand even tested their creative skills when they tried their hand at some interactive graffiti and took home a free T-shirt bearing the fruits of their work.
Until next year, Motorcycle Live!
