Oxford (07 March 2013) -
Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland teamed up with The Salvation Army to offer customers the chance to donate their old clothing to a worthy cause. And, we’re pleased to announce that so far we’ve be inundated with your donations!
Many dealerships have even filled their donations boxes and are in the process of organising collections from their local Salvation Army area team. However, others, got the wrong end of the stick and filled their boxes up…with people!
The spring clothing clear out campaign is still in full swing so if you haven’t got round to sorting out your old or unwanted clothing, there’s still time to make your donation. To get involved, simply take your unwanted clothing to your local Harley-Davidson® dealership and drop them into the specially marked clothing donation boxes. If you choose to treat yourself to an official Harley-Davidson product while in store, the dealer staff will also give you something extra to make you smile...
In addition, Stratstone Harley-Davidson have teamed up with the St John Ambulance service and are donating the old helmets brought into their dealership to help during training sessions.
There are a number of services that can use old motorcycle helmets to practice their first responder skills on such as: Fire fighters, St John Ambulance service and paramedics so bring them in and we will be able to find someone that they can benefit.
So keep the donations coming! Together we’re doing a great job and providing a lot of support and help for those who are really in need.
