Oxford (02 February 2012) - Lenzie motorcyclist Kenny Hay, the lucky winner of a customised Harley-Davidson® Forty-Eight®, picked up his prize from his local dealership, West Coast Harley-Davidson® on the 21 January.

Kenny won his dream bike by entering a prize draw held at the 2011 Motorcycle Live Show at the NEC. The competition was open to the thousands of visitors to the Harley-Davidson® stand during the premier motorcycling event. Kenny’s details were the first to be drawn from an extensive entry list – and he is now a proud owner of a brand new Forty-Eight® complete with one year’s free Harley-Davidson® insurance – in all a prize total worth more than £10,000!

The stylish Forty-Eight® prize bike had been customised with a Spectrum Metal Flake petrol tank that uses a million metal flakes in the covering paint to give an eye-popping explosion of colour. The tank is complemented by blacked out accessories from the Dark Custom Harley-Davidson® Genuine Parts and Accessories range, together these make a truly stunning bike.

Kenny Hay couldn’t believe his luck: “I never thought for a second that it would be me who won. I am absolutely over the moon! I was admiring the bike at the show with my wife and saying how it was just the type of bike I was looking for.

“I ride a sports bike at the moment and am really looking forward to owning and riding a Harley-Davidson – it is a dream bike for me. My wife and I have a baby on the way so the fact that I get free insurance for a year is the icing on the cake!”

Steve Colling, Marketing Manager for UK and Ireland, said: “There was a buzz around the bike at the NEC and we had a lot of entries from people who were very keen to win their dream bike. I am pleased for Kenny and hope he has many happy miles on his new bike.”

“The Forty-Eight® really is a beauty and worthy of the very best insurance protection, which we’re delighted to provide,” commented Mark Rzedzian of Harley-Davidson® Insurance Services*. “We’d like to congratulate Kenny on winning this great prize, which he can now enjoy without worry, knowing he can rely on insurance designed with the Harley rider in mind.”
