American custom

Oxford (08 August 2011) - The Americana theme continues for the world championship winning Shaw Harley-Davidson dealership. The team in the Shaw Speed and Custom wing of the business have spent more than 100 hours creating a stunning Captain America motorcycle to commemorate the release of Captain America: The First Avenger.

Technicians at the dealership, which is renowned for its custom bike designs, even captured the transformation of the 2009 Fat Boy® motorcycle in a special seven-minute behind-the-scenes video, which is available to view here.

The machine was one of the star attractions at the Customising, Culture & Harley-Davidson exhibit at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) in Manchester recently, and can now be found in the dealership’s Sussex showroom. More than 30 other motorcycles spanning early Harley-Davidsons to the very latest in customised motorcycles are still on display at the show, which runs until September 2011.

Shaw has been an authorised Harley-Davidson UK dealer for nine years and opened the Shaw Speed and Custom shop in November 2009. Winning the London Custom Show in 2010 gave the dealership a ticket to Sturgis to claim victory in the world championships.
