Thousands Of Thundering Motorcycles Rumble Through Milwaukee For Harley-Davidson® 110th Anniversary Parade
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1 September 2013) - Nearly 7,000 Harley-Davidson enthusiasts roll through the streets of Milwaukee
The spectacle of almost 7,000 Harley-Davidson riders, thundering through the streets of Milwaukee created one of the most iconic motorcycling displays in America as enthusiasts from across the States helped the brand celebrate its 110th Anniversary parade on Saturday 31st August 2013.
The parade came as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary global celebrations throughout 2013 which also saw Pope Francis bless crowds of Harley-Davidson riders in Rome earlier this year.
Rolling through the Harley-Davidson hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the 110th Anniversary parade took participants nearly five miles (eight kilometres) from Miller Park to the Summerfest Grounds via Wisconsin Avenue. Collectively, the circa 7,000 riders clocked more than 32,000 miles (51,000km) - equivalent to almost three times the distance from Milwaukee to Perth.
Tens of thousands of local Milwaukee residents greeted and cheered on the parade which included customers of the famous brand, H.O.G (Harley Owners Group) members, Harley-Davidson dealers and employees and celebrities such as actresses Katee Sackhoff and Tricia Helfer; Hollywood director F. Gary Gray; and UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.
