The Harley-Davidson® Community Unites To Support The Queensland Flood Appeal
Sydney (27 January 2011) - Harley-Davidson Australia has announced an initiative to help raise additional funds for the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal to supports those suffering as a result of the recent flood disasters in Queensland.
In an effort to ease the pain for the flood victims Harley-Davidson dealers and Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G®) Chapters from across Australia have united and will raise funds from now to the end of February when Harley-Davidson Australia’s head office will match dollar-for-dollar the money raised.
“The support from Australians everywhere has been terrific and the Harley-Davidson community wants to get behind a great cause and show our support.” says Peter Nochar, Manage Director Harley-Davidson Australia.
“All of us in the Australian Harley-Davidson family were so overwhelmed by the devastation and anguish. We hope our contribution will help in some way. The thoughts of our staff and H.O.G members are with those families affected”.
Harley-Davidson Australia has also pledged to send over $70,000 worth of clothing items in another effort to support those affected by the floods and in need.
