Take on mother nature with the next generation of riding gear.
Motorcycling exposes you to the elements in a big way. And now there's a better way to stay protected from them. The Women's Rider Comfort System is designed to be a three part system that works together to put you in total control of your climate and comfort in any riding condition.
The Rider Comfort System offers a wicking Base Layer for temperature control, Mid-Layer options for insulation, and a selection of high-performance Outer Layer options for weather protection. So you'll be ready for anything Mother Nature throws your way.
Manage moisture with a base layer.
An effective Base Layer is the first step in creating a total comfort system, and one many riders skip. Performance fabrics are designed to wick moisture away from the body so that it can evaporate quickly ' something cotton tees can't do. Wicking fabrics keep your skin dry, which is important in maintaining a consistent body temperature.
Base layers are designed to fit snugly to the body for maximum wicking ability. For a roomier fit, it's a good idea to size up.
Insulate with a mid-layer.
The Mid-Layer helps insulate the body and retain heat by trapping air next to the skin. In cold weather, this layer keeps the body warm so that less energy is wasted on body temperature control and more energy can be spent focusing on the ride.
Mid-Layers are designed to fit snugly to the body for the best heat management. For a roomier fit, it's a good idea to size up. Just be sure the mid-layer still fits comfortably beneath the outer layer and doesn't gap at the waist to ensure proper protection from the elements.
Add functionality with an outer layer.
The Outer Layer helps to further maintain a consistent body temperature and protect the rider from the elements. With options in mesh, nylon, and polyester, the rider can add the right outer layer for the riding conditions that day.
The outer layer should be roomy enough to fit easily over the other layers, and should not restrict any movement.
Complete the look with accessories.
In cold weather, the body tries to preserve heat within vital organs by reducing the amount of blood pumped to your extremities, like the hands. That's why a pair of comfortable gloves is a must for every rider, especially in colder riding conditions. Gloves can also help provide a better grip and reduce road vibrations.
The new women's Helmets with Retractable Sun Shield are also designed to coordinate with the RCS offering, the perfect way to complete the total Rider Comfort System.
